Pre and war time economics

What was the income of the northern industrial base before the war? Does anyone have an idea of the GNP and the breakdown of what goods were sold to the southern states and what was sold as exports to Europe by the manufacturing industries of the north. How did the war affect the sales and income of the industrial base of the northern states and the import/export market.
I am curious about how the economy changed, did it grow or shrink during the war?
Also what products were sold abroad before and during the war?
