I have just discovered the wealth of information available now for free via podcast. I did a search and there doesn't seem to be a thread devoted to this amazing medium. From another thread I found the Pritzker Military History Podcasts.
Many casts are recordings of college-level lectures which are great since they typically aren't squeezed into the standard radio or cable time slot. But the lectures do drone on. For that I discovered the 2X feature on my player.
