Here is where it was located,and I'm sure it's still there. Monument and an iron tablet located on the south side of Union Avenue, approximately 0.5 miles west of Grant Avenue. Also an iron tablet located on the north side of Union Avenue approximately 0.8 miles west of Thayer's Approach (Park Tour Stop #6).

the monument is west of Grant Ave. while the marker showing the location of the battery is West of Thayer approach on Union Ave.
