Sheridan Ave. is two BLOCKS long and does not include his first name (some other Sheridan?). Jubal Early drive is two MILES long and includes his full name. Perhaps this demonstrates the town's sense of the relative importance of these two characters.

What is that kind of hat called? I assume it isn't army issue.
I have always wondered about his hat, too. This is the image I always have in my mind's eye when I think of Sheridan. I guess General Officers have always been given a great deal of latitude about their uniforms and covers.

Sheridan Avenue is in a residential section and Jubal Early Drive is a main thoroughfare through the town. What I found most amusing about it is it's right next to Mosby Avenue. I know they weren't 'great' enemies but Mosby was an irritant to Sheridan.

What's weird is I think Milroy has a 'Court' named after him. That's just wrong.

Milroy?! I haven't been to the part of Winchester where that section is named after him. I may have to meander over there the next time I head out to Winchester, just to get an even bigger chuckle. And yes, I am well aware that Sheridan is my avatar...and that is on purpose. :frantic:
