KY Pewee Valley Confederate Cemetery

Located in Pewee Valley, Kentucky is the Pewee Valley Confederate Cemetery which is the only official Confederate cemetery in Kentucky. The site consists of 313 graves of former Confederate troops who were residents of the Kentucky Confederate Home (1902-1934) which was located roughly 1 mile from the cemetery. The site is split into 3 areas which together make up the Pewee Valley Cemetery. The Confederate section and two other civilian portions separated by a road that cuts the location into two parts.

Pewee Valley is about 20 miles east of downtown Louisville and very easy to get to if you're in the area and would like to visit. The site is well cared for. Here are a few photos from my visit on Saturday.
