Hey y'all,

I have an opportunity to portray a vendor at an immersive 1860s civilian event. My persona will be serving period beverages (i.e., lemonade, appleade, orgeat, etc.) taken from Godey's Receipts, and they are turning out great. I do have a question however, on how beverages were stored/served in this period. I know they used iceboxes to keep things cool, but do we see anything like the beverage servers of today, with the glass tank and tap for dispensing?

Dixie Cups are out even if you are a confederate. They may have had wax paper cups come to think of it.
BYOCanteen Cup. BYOCC.
I imagine they had pumps for beer kegs like a beer keg now a days. I think they sell small kegs of root beer and ginger ale. And there's those Seltzer bottles that seem to spray people's faces as much as they dazzle a cocktail.
Hope this helps and good luck.
Cheers!
