So I just discovered that Gen. George Patton's people married into a branch of my tree. That makes his Confederate grandpa the brother-in-law of my 2nd cousin 3 times removed which makes Gen. George (of WWII fame) the grand nephew of the husband of my 2nd cousin 3 times removed. I figure that's about as close as if his good friend was the great grandson of the neighbor of the stepson of my gg grandmother's cousin. Time to step out and strut my stuff !

Too cool. Can you say that 3 times real fast like we did tongue twisters as kids. I guess now you can crash the next family reunion. Bring your own revolvers.

I did a job a year ago for a guy who was in Pattons HQ during occupation just prior to Gen Pattons death. Certainly not a PC type of guy. Just get the job done. Great line from the movie. Guy says" there goes old blood and guts." Other guy responded," yeh our blood, his guts". But he got the job done.

Glad you found the connection.
