I just read on the blog Confederate Book Review that Cleburne ' diary was found in 2009 and that Lee W Hite is publishing it.Has anyone else heard about this and when it may be out.

I would be interested in what General Pat. Cleburne wrote. Pity he didn't survive the war. All the Generals who wrote post-war had interesting things to say from their perspective.

Lee White's book on Chickamauga is a good book so if he is editing Cleburne ' diary I feel it will be handled fairly and very much worth reading.This does have me salvaging in when it will become available.

You gotta be able to write first... Well, he could write but not legibly! I've been wanting to know what was in Cleburne's diary - I've heard it was more of a notebook about his battle plans than anything personal. That would be just as good!

Thanks for the info chellers, I will be looking for it when it comes out.i have his book "Buswacking on a Grand Scale", as it it a good reference to use when you visit the park.Lee is always available to talk to there or if he isn't James Ogden is always around.Both are great guys and do they know Chickamauga better then anyone.

Well, its not the whole diary (I wish it was), just a portion that he lost while the Army was making its way North through Georgia after the fall of Atlanta.
