PA Volunteer Regiments - Issued weapons

I recently learned that, while my GGGF joined Co. H, 50th PA Regiment on/about August 1861, before that to the 151st PA Regiment, and previous to that he had been in a "90-day" state militia, which he joined O/A April 20, 1861, the 4th PA Regiment.

I don't have access to a C&T to see what these units were issued vis-a-vis their weapons. Can anyone give some insight?

Hello Welcome the forum from Virginia.

I'm no weapons expert myself, there will be other people to help you, but here what i know

The official 151st Pennsylvania Book, says the regiment was armed with Enfield Rifles in January of 1863. Hopefully this answers your questions.

I know my relatives in the 18th Pennsylvania Cavalry carried Burnside Carbines.
