Is anyone still in contact with Mr. McDuffie? He was the owner of the now-defunct Civil War Field Fortifications website (still accessible with Wayback) and years ago, probably 2007-2008, he gave me some extremely detailed interpretations of the construction and improvements to Fort Griffin at Sabine Pass. I reached out to him in 2013, after the site went defunct, but have never heard from him.
