I have four books by Gordon Rhea concerning the Overland Campaign between May 5th and June 3rd 1864. I am now asking for advice for the best author and book concerning the Campaign from August 1864 through to Appomattox or roughly that time span. I am most interested in Sheridan's Cavalry and have "Sheridan's Lieutenants" by David Coffey and "Little Phil" by Eric Wittenberg. Any other advice on books concerning Sheridan and his command would be appreciated.
The above subject seems to be contained in rather expensive books and I appreciate any reviews to make a wise investment.
