What if Robert E. Lee had followed the same course as General Scott?
What if the United States had created a unified command in the west under Grant immediately after the fall of Vicksburg?
What if the United States had not allowed the former Confederate states to be represented for 10 years after the Civil War, 11 to make it coincide with the 1876 election?
What if John Chivington had been excluded from the Civil War amnesty and at least tried publicly for murder?
