Original 1851 Navy Colt in action

Fired today, 20 gr FFg black powder, 0.357 round ball & greased patch. Front sight bead has been removed so these are from 15 yards. I also have 2 videos of me shooting, but the computer says the files are too large. Not sure what to do with them.
156 years old and still shoots like it used to. Fun gun.
Thanks to all who helped in my earlier post.

Reckon those marks on the grip are for kills?

I really have no idea. All I know for sure is the 10 on this side and the three on the other side were on it when I got it about 55 years ago. The guy I got it from said his Grandfather found it in a field in Kansas. Wish I knew more.

It's too bad we don't know the date it was found and where in Kansas the field was located. It doesn't look to me like it was out there very long. Might have been a bushwhacker drop.

That's pretty good shooting at 15 yds without the front sight in place!! I'd try FFFG the next time you take it out.
