This is a holster shown in Meadows book on U.S. Military Holsters.
The belt loop on this holster is attached with three rivets and the closing strap is straight stitched without reinforcement.
E. Gaylord marking on the rear of the holster.
The initials C.M. scratched on the body of the holster under the flap.
I think this holster will accommodate both the '60 Colt Army and the '58 Remington Army revolver.
It might be a bit big for a '51 Colt Navy.
The collector that I bought the holster from years ago stuffed newspaper in the bottom of the holster to help keep its shape. I did not remove the paper at the bottom of the holster so I never tried the '51 Navy in it.
