I apologize for being off topic with this, but I believe there might be a few of the forum members who might have some insight on who this person might be. I recently acquired an old CDV album which contained two civil war soldiers and a few ship captains from Mass., and this gentleman was in the mix. Not being knowledgeable of old west images, does anyone know if this might be one of the more famous old scouts or celebrities of the time? Buffalo Bill Cody? Whoever he is, he is well armed for whatever comes his way. There are no markings whatsoever on the verso. Thanks in advance for any help, and I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!

WOW killer image! Looks great! Dosnt look familiar to me, sorry. Is there a photographer back mark or tax stamp? If there is post a photo. This is most likely post war, but could be CW period.

I would say props, probably leftovers from the war. They could be his, a smaller colt. the knife and carbine. The fringed shirt is a little beat up, they could all be props or his real clothes. The weapons I would say are props. Thanks for posting this a nice image still. Thanks for posting.

Thank you for the replies, everyone. Since this is not in my area of collecting, off to ebay it goes! Hopefully, it will fill the coffers for future purchases of CW era images.
