Came into a mother load of patterns, books and garments from a former historical society educator. Free! I have several bonnets, gloves, ephemera, including a cast iron candle holder with glass hurricane style lamp..of course I am sharing stuff with my son..what a windfall! Oh! I have another set of hoops too! I am doing the hysterical happy dance.

Of course all the garments need washing, and are too large for me. I am going to need to practice my take apart skills!

The black satin skirt, I think I can just take the waist band off, and re-gather the skirt.

Oh, I forgot! She had a bunch of tintypes she got at a garage sale!

My son says the first picture of the woman looks a bit like me, when I am " properly dressed"

@Mrs. V what a beautiful collection of photos. By change, is there any names of these or any other information on the back of the tin-types showing who they are?
Thanks you for sharing this collection.

Unfortunately, no marks at all. I am thinking they are post war, given the shirt waists and hats. Some are CW without a doubt. Sad that these have lost provenance. However, my students will be thrilled to see them.
