Edit, April 2016. Re-found when this came up, searching files. Yes, had picked it up incorrectly, it is Fredericksburg ( obviously )- edit shows old thread title and correction.

Blurb I saved with it says it's removing wounded after the battle under a flag of truce. I just came across it again in my docs while looking for something else, thought I'd ask about it before finally putting it under some correct heading. I'm ALWAYS finding a photo I just think ( personally ) is SO, so intriguing, , only to have it be ' not really '.

Yes, Fredericksburg. I remember this photo because it is a good example of what trenches look like in albumen photos - they can be very hard to spot. I also remember it having to do with moving wounded during a truce.

Yes, sure is Fredericksburg! National Archives kick at the time- you could sign up to enter information on photos. I never did. Sure copied other people's even if it was wrong- better correct this! Archives changed things now- does LoC still welcome this kind of help?

Since then bumped into something about wounded there- and rats, of course cannot remember. There's generally one of our experts with a bottomless well of information who knows this stuff, pretty lucky, might notice this and bail us out.
