Does anyone have any information on a raid into Northeast Florida by the 17 Army Corps, detached from Sherman's Army, in Dec 1864? It is mentioned in Ephraim Wilson's "Memoirs of the War" on pages 394-395. "For miles and miles together we would not find a single habitation, Poverty and barrenness were on every hand, and the country was almost an unbroken wilderness."

On October 18 at Pierce's Point south of Milton, Union troops were attacked by Confederates. In December 1864, there were skirmishes in Mitchell's Creek and Pine Barren Ford with the 82nd Colored Infantry.
