Some Northern and Southern militia companies were wearing orange trim at the start of the Civil War and probably wore their uniforms with orange trim off to war. Early in the war a few states used orange trim for a few state issued uniforms.
I am not sure if I ever seen any militia use of purple trim, but it is possible. Early in the war the Union was purchasing any trousers they could find. Often some other color were re dyed black. I would expect some of these re dyed trousers had a purplish tone to them. I know my home state of Michigan received 3,000 pairs of black trousers early in the War, but am not sure how color fast these re dyed trousers were. A few coats, jackets, and overcoats were issued in black as well.
