Newspaper obit lookup needed

I was hoping somebody might have a subscription to one of those historic newspaper services and could see if an obituary could be found for this guy:

Ashton Garrett
d. 18 Jan 1879
Richmond, VA

I'm sure of the date but can't find any burial info for him or his parents. I suspect he's at Hollywood but their records don't show him or his parents. I have a little file on all of the relatives and friends of my John Winn who served in the Richmond Howitzers and Ashton (John's second cousin) is the only one I've not been able to find a burial place for. I'd like to remedy that but it's not worth hiring a genealogist to look up one newspaper obit.

And for the record, I've searched on Ancestry and FindAGrave carefully. The death date is all I could confirm.

So, if any of you have one of those newspaper search memberships and would be willing to give Ashton a look I'd be most appreciative.
