It appears that our trivia game was not spared the depredations of the worm that attacked the website earlier this week. The question posted on Saturday has disappeared. There were at least a couple of responses in the queue, but I can't seem to access them.
So, I'm going to start a new thread to repeat the question and invite anybody who wants to do so to post a response. Aphillbilly and Lynne, if you can remember what your responses were, please post them again.
The question is - name the eight most popular Confederate songs of the Civil War.
As I said in the earlier thread, there are no "right" or "wrong" answers. In the modern music world, it's pretty well unheard of for the list of top ten songs as of any specific date to be the same as the list of top ten songs from a month, or even a week, earlier. Who's to say whether the song that was #8 on the Confederate hit parade in 1861 was still in the top eight in 1865?
But I hope we can have some fun with this. Everybody is invited to submit their own list of favorite Confederate songs, and at the end of the week, we can compare all the lists to each other (as well as the list that came out of Thea's book) and see how well they match up.
The next official game, in case anybody didn't get the word earlier, will start on January 1.
