Alright yall. Folks came in clutch last time. I need good reads on Longstreet, Jeb Stuart, and curious if there's a good read on Rosecrans. Thanks all!!! Quick note, I thought Elizabeth Varons Longstreet book was garbage and quit reading about 2/3 chapters in. So save that request lol. Yall are awesome thanks all!!!

William Lamers wrote the first comprehensive biography of Lamers. The Edge of Glory. I read it during Covid and thought it was balanced and well done. Others here believe it is too uncritical.

Our own @David Moore has written a more recent biography. William S. Rosecrans and the Union Victory. I have the book but have not read it yet. I understand that it focuses more on his military career and accomplishments and includes much source materials that have surfdaced in the 50 years since Lamers' bigraphy was first published.
