Need Help with a Mobile Barge

In October, 1863, Maj. Sims got a number of locomotives and cars onto a barge in Mobile and transferred them to the Mobile & Great Northern RR, probably at Tensas. One document gives the name of the barge as the "A M Carpenter," but the writing is not clear. I'm looking for confirmation of the name, its history and its size or capacity. It appears that only a single trip was made and it carried 3 locomotives and a dozen or so cars.
 
Would that Maj. Frederick W Sims of CS RR fame
