Naval uniform terms

My jackets and coats data base could use better definitions for naval uniforms. I have basic definitions but I am no expert on naval uniform. I have seen the following terms used for Civil War era naval jackets and coats and am not sure how many of the terms are period terms and how many are modern terms use by the writers for 18th century naval uniforms.
