At the Second Battle of Sabine Pass on September 8th 1863, the Texan Davis Guards Numbering 36 men turned away a Union fleet of 4 Gunboats and 18 troop transporters, losing how many of the Texans were casualties?

The Davis Guard were led by Dick Dowling, prior to that best known as a Houston barkeep and inventor of the noted drink, "Kiss Me Quick and Go."

Believe me, I know. It was a proprietary thing in his saloon, of course, and when he came up with a new concoction he would bring samples by the newspaper office. It's brilliant marketing.

I have no idea what was in it, but it "lingers on the palate like the memory of a dream of paradise and the houris."
