Thought an element of realism is lost by showing these figurines (Georgians, judging by the flag) dressed in standardized identical uniforms and displaying the same wide open facial expressions.
That's also an interesting-looking sidearm carried by the leader (presumably an officer).
(Nevertheless, realize these figurines are best appreciated in a lighthearted way).

I remember seeing those pretty commonly about 30 years ago when Civil War tchotchkes were a fad. Resin, quite often and made in China. Facial expressions were often most distressing.
YYYYY-Em-C-Aye, it's fun to go to the YMCA. Don't know why this reminded me of that. Might be one of those tchotchkes best left at a distance from the eye, like you said, on the bookshelf. Up high.
