Here are some pictures my wife took, it was my first time and we were both amazed at the lack of people and the entire park. It's a gem I could have spent a week there and plan on a return. We took bunches but I'm still getting them all uploaded onto the computer. There wasn't a person anywhere, the first photo was the cemetery owls, there are a bunch of owls that live in the national cemetery if know you can't really see them but they were in the trees. It was very solemn.

In just a few pictures, Black Hat, you (OK, your wife) did justice to the battlefield. Looking forward to the tour.

Nice pictures, I missed the owls when I went back in December. I'll keep a look out for them next year. I know what you mean about spending a week there. One day wasn't enough time for me.

Everytime I have visited the park, except on the 150th, it seemed like I was the only one there. I like to get there before sunrise to take pics and I have the entire place to myself.

Michigan Black Hat's first sentence may be the true beauty of Shiloh and his wife's pictures portrayed that peace and solitude well.

I live way up here in Michigan and can't wait to go back- only been there once. And thats not enough!
