Here are some more pictures of the musket. The first thing I noticed was how tightly the ramrod is set to the musket.The second is the trigger pull which seems very light.I know from my other firearms that the pull gets better as the weapon is broken in.If this is the case here, it will have a fantastic pull.The stock is a nice linseed oil walnut finish. My brother shoots and hunts with a custom Hawkin and the one thing he commented on was the nice wood.

I like the notches in the rear sight blades! The wood to metal fit looks good, and the VP Eagle-Head stamps look good. Can you tell if the ramrod is one piece, or two sections soldered together?

You certainly have a nice rifle-musket. Congratulations.

You will note that after you have fired a thousand or so rounds that your barrel bands will loosen up. This is normal and believe it or not, that will enhance the accuracy of your musket!
