More Confederate ancestors found.

A cousin and I finally broke through on my great-great grandfather Barnett Lee's wife's father. Cora C. Wiseman's father was William Crawford Wiseman, born in South Carolina. And was a member of Flournoy's 16th Texas Infantry. As was Cora's brother Simeon Wiseman. Another brother, James Wiseman was in the 27th Texas Infantry.

That would add another 4x Great Grandfather to my Civil War ancestry, and 2 4x great uncles.

Any record of their service? The 16th was part of Walker's Greyhounds.

Thanks to that cousin I've now gotten in contact with my distant Hardwick cousins, they left Memphis years ago and live around New Orleans!

I have my connections now to the Generals I am related to which is really interesting because that's what I've always interested in was the Generals. I have Wade Hampton, Stonewall Jackson, and General Sterling Price. Some are removed but they are still blood relatives to me. I love it that I can find it threw my great great grandmother, on my grandfathers great grandmothers side and all my great great uncles and their fathers that served on both sides.

Dave my great great grandmother Mary E Winn Walton, her first cousin is the mother of Stonewall Jackson. I think that would make Stonewall my great great uncle. I am also related to General Bratton from SC he married the daughter of my 5th great uncle Richard Winn.
