54th PA monument at New Market Battlefield, Virginia.

It is possible to walk to the monument from the visitor center by taking the pedestrian tunnel under I-81 that gives access to the eastern portion of the battlefield. The view below is looking north along the walking trail. The monument is in the distant center.

Just recently visited New Market battlefield. Isn't it a shame that I-81 blows right through the middle of it?
