This is an interesting project which is pulling together pension records for the USCT troops from the seven counties in Missouri which had the largest population of enslaved persons. It looks like it could be an excellent resource for that population -

I don't think they are limiting themselves to specific regiments, but instead looking at every USCT soldier from that area who served.

One of those regiments fought in the last battle of the war at Palmetto Ranch, Texas.

The 62nd, under Colonel Barrett. The 65th and 67th served at Morganza, Louisiana, and the 68th served with Hawkins' division at Blakely.
