Minie ball calibre

I am not a gun expert by any stretch of the imagination. What calibre was the CW rifle, 50 or 58 calibre or both? While hunting in Port Hudson a ton of moons ago, I once found a Minieball (besides other relics), which I still have today, but unsure of its calibre. I am guessing 50 cal since it measures .05" but like I said, I am no gun expert, let alone ammo expert.
