Miniature Bio's

Well, that is partly what's happening, unless the subject has a dedicated forum like Lincoln, Lee, or Grant, then the thread will be a sticky in it's parent forum, or you may find medical bios like nurses and doctors are in the medical forum, and the women have their own forum as well.

Anytime you want to find a bio, go to the A to Z forums, all Bios are being linked from that forum by LAST NAME as well! I still need to retire some of the old threads in A to Z.

There will also likely be a "Union Generals" and "Confederate Generals" guide at some point to help guide you to the new bios just like the newly updated "Women of the American Civil War" guide thread or the "How many Civil War Generals became President?" mini-guide thread.

Guide threads are known as "Pillar Content" and "Cornerstone Content".

At some point we will get the Tag System overhauled and in sync with everything else.

It's all a work in progress as we build it out.

Thank you. That is way to much individual information just to go in general files. All efforts appreciated

I guess the best way to explain the plan is we are attempting to build things out in a Wiki-like way, and also cross link things in a similar manner. Tags will eventually work a bit like categories, A to Z will be like an Index to all information.

The A to Z forum may be updated soon so that you won't have to flip from page to page searching for different terms, I'm working on that one as well!

I may also setup an auto "Keyword" tool that auto-links keywords to appropriate pages if you use them in the forum, so if you type the full name "Mary Todd Lincoln" in your post, it will auto link you to her Bio Thread. Maybe..... that's the idea anyway....

There is also the possibility that we may open Gentlemanrob's bios to additional edits and improvements to a select group of editors, so we can make the bios the best ones they can be. Yes, I'm talking about GROUP EDITING posts!

The Lincoln bio is kind of my "Gold Standard" for how a persons biography page should look, minus the descriptive dialogue, which we can and should still write and add. It's what you might call a comprehensive biography-at-a-glance. I still have a few more items I want to add to that bio if I can.
