This Memorial Stone for my 3x Great-Grandfather was installed today at the Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at Parker's Crossroads.

He was in the 13th TN Cav USA (Bradford's Battalion).

He was mortally wounded at the Fort Pillow Battle/Massacre on 12 Apr 1864. He left a wife and four children.

He was raised within 10 miles of where the cemetery is located.

Planning a ceremony in July, as he is the first Civil War soldier memorial in this cemetery.

Welcome, In case you didn't have this: http://tngenweb.org/civilwar/14th-tennessee-cavalry-regiment/

Addison's wife, my 3x Great-Grandmother received a widow's pension. She died in 1884 and left four children. I have the pension record from the National Archives and the Probate Record from Benton Co, TN. There is no record of her gravesite, she is in an unmarked grave (may have been marked in 1884, but gone now) in the Holladay TN cemetery. Am placing a tombstone for her, after the ceremony for Addison in July.
