Another view of Brady's backside on the McPherson farm, here overlooking the fields and woods where heavy fighting took place on Day One. As you can see in my matching modern photo, the quarry pond is now overgrown with reeds and cattails, but maintains the same shape. Brady recorded three plate on the McPherson farm July 15th, 1863 and is posed similarly in all three.
