Of course I am a little bit prejudiced to this monument but I think it is a simple but effective tribute to men on both sides from Maryland who fought each other on Culp's Hill. I think there is a Union monument at Salem Church, Virginia (I think) that mentions the bravery off that regiment's opponents on the opposite side of the monument.
