Hello all!! I read A Diary from Dixie recently, and despite early misgivings, I really enjoyed it.
I felt like I was reading letters from an old friend. Even though I had never met many of the people she wrote about, I felt like I knew them, and like I could understand her writing. It was a really fascinating read, and I was sad to finish it.
I recently discovered a cottage that she had lived in in Columbia, is now a bed and breakfast.
I would love to stay there, but it's waitlisted.
I was wondering if anyone had ever been there, or if anyone had any other historical sites associated with her that they had visited?
If so, what were your favorite ones?
I would love to go on a trip one day and visit some places related to her.
Thank you all!
