I'm reading Timothy Smith's (excellent) book on Grierson's Raid and he notes that Grierson took Colton's Pocket Map of Mississippi with him. I've found several maps of Mississippi made by Colton before the War. Does anyone know which one was used in the pocket map? Or did they make a different version when intending it for travel?

Great book. It would be interesting to have a copy of one of those maps.
I dont guess Dr. Timothy Smith is a member her at CWT???
I was going to suggest to email him. I thought I had contacted him a few years ago but that was Myron J. Smith who wrote "Tinclads in Civil War". Dont both of them teach at MTSU?
