Major Mosos Corwin Bledsoe Wright (M.C.B.), info wanted

I have a great pix of Major MCB Wright but am looking for more info on him.

I have Date of Death but no info about his family. He was from Ohio and family lore says he is a distant relative.

I also have quite a few photos from the war I am trying to identify.

Dear Editorss;

I saw the photograph of M. C. B. Wright.

He is in a Knights Templar uniform. Rather handsome gentleman. They used rank system in the Knights Templer.

There are several "Wrights" that I came across in a quick scan of the "Official Records of the Rebellion." But, didn't come up with anything with your inquiry of M. C. B. Wright.

Maybe someone else will come up with a different search resource; and see what they have before giving up here at CWT.

I know he was the youngest Major in the volunteer service of the Civil war. He was also appointed to the Board of Review in the US Pension office in D.C. and was living in DC at the time of his death in 1902.

Dear Editorss;

My paternal Grandfather was a Knights Templar and wears a similar uniform sir. Your photo though is much older 'cut' of uniform.

The sword, is most likely from the Ames' Sword Company; to which the Knights Templar's sword is patterned after the medical officer's sword.
