Uniforms M1889 Campaign Hat?

I saw an old hat and was wondering if this was indeed an M1889. The side vents are arranged in a circular pattern, not a snowflake pattern, but I heard there were variations in the vents. I couldn't find any info on the manufacturer, so any insight would be great. Thanks.

I am no expert on this subject so do not read too much in my observations. It may well be a variation of the M1889. It was my understanding that the M1889 had three rows of stitching on the brim instead of two.

It could be a private purchase hat, but the issue pieces usually have a government stamping of acceptance IIRC. "Regulation/US/Army Hat" stamped on a brown sweatband and could have 2 or 3 rows of stitching.

The piece in question could simply be a copy for private purchase; I would look up the hat maker to see what history is there.
