Louisiana Side Knife

Here's a side knife I dug out of a creek on land occupied by Brig. Gen. Francis A. Shoup's Brigade during the siege of Vicksburg in 1863. Shoup's Louisiana soldiers participated in the attack against the flank of the Stockade Redan.
