Lost cause

Gem, this really is the same as your other thread on the subject, just worded differently. It is a controversial subject and it is difficult to have an objective discussion about it under the best of circumstances. We don't need to do it again.

Moving it to Moderated Threads.

I'm not so sure this belongs in moderated status yet. I'm thinking that rather than being a repeat of the similar thread, the poster simply thought maybe there should be a firmer definition of Lost Cause, at least in his mind?

Gem,

Please use the "Search Engine" provided for previous threads to pull archives on "The Lost Cause;" "Lost Cause."

No more than what they have been telling you on the other thread you created. How about sticking to one thread instead of creating mirrors of other ones?

just to be clear this not a mirror of my other thread.

If one is objective they will understand that its not.

The cause and the lost cause is very different.

The cause as I understand it deals with secession and slavery. These are reasons that the south went to war.

The lost cause came about AFTER the south lost the war.

This the reason were totally different.

And Diane is completely correct. This is not a mirror of my other thread.

As I see it the cause and the lost cause are not the same thing. I created a thread on the 'lost cause' not to intertwine the two.

Its the beating of the same horse but painted a different color.
