Little Round Top Refurb question

Hi everybody,
I'm making my trip out to Gettysburg next month, Can't wait to get back there!!!!! Anyway, to my question. Is the front side of the hill leading up to LRT accessible? I know the top of the hill is closed. I really want to walk the front of the hill to better understand what the Southern army saw on their approach up LTR. As many times as I have been there it's one of those things I always forget when I'm there. This year I have a plan!!!! Any info would be appreciated!! Thank You in advance!

Looking at the map on the NPS Gettysburg site the entire area is closed. You will not be able to access the front of the hill

We were there Friday, too! By the looks of it will not see an open LRT anytime real soon.
