Little Round Top ghost

Indeed lots of ghosts. And there is angry Mr Pacman to the right after them:

Yes! When @Bee and I were on Culps Hill in September it was weird how the atmosphere was vastly different to other areas of the battlefield. This happened twice. It was definitely spooky. We both commented on it at the same time.

Part of the influence of my upbringing recognizes very much the presence of spirits. When I announced to a few people that I was going to Gettysburg, the Native side was less than enthusiastic, and adamant that I bring home nothing from the battlefield. That cold cold wind on a warm humid day was just a reminder, I say -- especially when it seemed to surround just the area that @PeterT and I were standing on. Interesting, it is that spot that draws me back with the most enthusiasm.

The next time you are out there find the 88th Pennsylvania monument. There is a swale of sorts that butted up against what was then a cornfield....investigate a little and you might find some depressions in the ground. You will have to do some looking as they are not marked.....I think those were the Confederate burial trenches for Iverson's North Carolinians. When I was last there 2 years ago just standing around I heard something/ someone walking around in the corn around me and by no means were "they" being quiet about it. There were no living people anywhere near me, I had that part of the battlefield all to myself except for the occasional passing car. Whatever it was making all that noise wasn't deer either. I got the hell outta there pretty quickly.

View attachment 116139 i go out there all the time with my EVP and camera but THIS time ... I gotta little sumthin'.. check it out to the left .. it's lower to the ground . Notice the light blue uniform pants and dark jacket .
Great pic. And I'm a believer. 3 Novembers ago, I stood alone atop LRT staring in the direction Oates' Alabamans assaulted. I saw nothing but heard crunching leaves' sounds coming in my direction for 2 minutes before I skedaddled not wanting to tick off any possible spirits. It was definitely more than 1 person, yet I saw no one and no animals coming towards me.

Yes I was standing on the top of one of the rocks and it was total silence towards dusk and I heard what sounded like someone running through a tall field of grass towards me. It didn't scare me I was more fascinated by it than anything.

I've really enjoyed this thread. Though I'm not a believer, I certainly don't discount things out of hand either.

I will offer this to those who hear footsteps in the outdoors: As a hunter, I've spent a goodly amount of time in the outdoors in attempt to stealthily ambush prey, mostly in the form of deer. Now, deer are big game creatures and can weigh easily in the 200 + pound range.

This one thing continues to happen to me: Often, I will be convinced, wholeheartedly, that I hear a large animal or some human moving in my direction. The sound will persist for a few minutes until I realize a couple of Robins (birds), weighing no more than a couple ounces are near, fluffing the leaves or grass in search of worms or insects. The echo and pace at which they do their work is incredible!

I offer this observation to those believers who seek to confirm their beliefs. Next time you hear what seems to be footsteps from a human, take a look nearer you and make sure it's not little birdies making human like noises.

Please do not take this as a slight. I offer it to those sincere in finding proof. I hope my post is taken as such and hope it may help!

This is the photo I took in September when I went out there with @Nathanb1 and @W. Richardson We didn't notice anything but then again we weren't being very quiet either.

No Peter we were not very quite.....lol........IIRC this was the 1st evening of September to Remember, A Wed. evening, me, my wife, you, Tedra, and her husband Neil. What a fun time, time of memories never to forget, and with wonderful friends !!!!

A part of the Gettysburg Battlefield, where Texas, Australia, and North Carolina met, not in battle, but in friendship.

Is that photo from LRT towards Devil's Den ?
There are a particularly large number of reported phenomena at Devil's Den. After the battle bodies were strewn everywhere in the rocks of Devil's Den and sightings of Soldiers were reported soon after the battle stopped and continue to this day !

Ironically enough, nobody else has mentioned the area to the left of the sapling at the right of the photo where it looks as a man with a mustache is crouching. He appears as to be looking to the right of the frame past the two sapling trees
