NF Lincoln's Calvarymen

Just finished reading Lincoln's Calvarymen and it is a fantastic history of the mounted arm of the Army Of The Potomac. His details of battles and the evolution of the service alone are reasons to read this. This 1st volume has some photos but it has a nice number of maps. I've read histories of the US Calvary before but they started in 1863 where this book starts at the beginning. There is a following volume Lee's Calvarymen which I shall read next.

Have both of these, but have not read them yet. I hope to soon though as Longacre is a fantastic writer in my opinion.
