You know, I think you're absolutely right? A ton of sites focus on images of his second- the whole Booth, shock-horror thing and miss this one. There's a very good Leslie's depiction ( I'll have to track it down at the source since that's public access- apparently using the image someone copied FROM the public access copy is verboten.... ) of that day. Lincoln is standing- he's right there. I'll also have to look up which artist although it probably doesn't matter. They were the ' photo journalists ' of the era and were awfully good with some details.
