CPT Frank Nelson was the last surviving soldier who made the attack known as Pickett's Charge. When a member of the 56th Virginia Regiment, he was among the countless men who made that heroic but futile assault on the on Cemetery Hill. He lived on until the age of 93 still talking of the charge in great detail.
