Hi Eric, do you know if your talk will be shared on YouTube? I would love to hear it but I won't be able to get out to Gettysburg.

Yes, also would have loved to have heard it- if it is what we were able to absorb in 3-D ( still re-rereading notes, looking up stuff, thanks so much! ) will not feel so silly living close and missing it. No one wants me on our roads at night, might as well let the dog drive.

Eric! Either you are a VERY good speaker and historian....or your rich and good looking because your first 4 of 5 responders to this thread were some of our ladies! And great ones at that. No slouches in this group!

Not to slight the second observation, but it's definitely the first one, Pete! If you've read any of Eric's books, then you know they are readable and chock full of good, well-researched information, even the end/footnotes. And, like Annie and I had the good fortune to experience a couple weekends ago, he brings that same thing to his tours, and more. He has a knack for taking all those facts and anecdotes that he's found and telling then in a way that you both enjoy and don't forget them. He readily answers questions, and having had the opportunity to talk with him beyond the tours, over drinks and over breakfast, he and his wife are witty and definitely enjoyable to be with. And anyone who has had the chance to meet him will tell you that--not just the women.

And I'm not biased because his hometown is just down the road from where I live.

LOL. It does not suck to be me. :-)

I will be speaking on John Buford at Gettysburg at the Seminary Ridge Museum at 6:30 pm on June 30, 2015. If you're going to be in town, please come visit me!

Eric,

In 35 more days I will retire from the United States Postal Service. Beginning August 1, 2015, I will be available to attend any one of the future lectures you will give.

And I look forward with eager anticipation to that day.

Sincerely,
Unionblue
