Thanks to all of you for the kind comments! As for the fog, it was a quite unexpected development when I woke up that morning faced with a fifteen-mile drive over unfamiliar roads to reach Fort Phantom Hill; it didn't dissipate until later that morning well farther west on the Interstate. It made for an evocative set of pictures though!
