That is an interesting article! Josephine showed a deep compassion for her fellow citizens and soldiers even at her own peril. Reminds me of the Jennie Wade story, but with a happier ending. I wonder how many of today's "Me Generation" would show the fortitude and risk all to help their fellow man!

Thanks for the story and the link. I have seen that photo before, but not in context, or who it was. I always thought it was cute: a woman and her stove.
